Agnes Jean Pendleton (Jean) was the eldest child born to the late Nannie Belle Tibbs and Nora Ricks and Johnnie Lee Tibbs, Sr.
She confessed hope in Christ at an early age and joined Fletcher's Chapel Primitive Baptist Church where she remained until her death.
She is preceded in death by her parents. Her Husband of 66 years: Henry Jackson "H.J." Pendleton, Jr. 2 Children: Janice Pendleton-Smith and Thomas Lee Pendleton. Siblings: Jewel Dean Pryor, Johnnie Lee Tibbs, Jr. and Sally Mae Bell.
Jean, who never met a stranger, gained her wings on Sunday morning August 5, 2018 at her residence surrounded by her family.
She leaves to cherish her most precious memories 5 Children: Minnie Matthews, Katherine Pendleton, Paula (Jimmie) Staten an Henry (Kimberly) Pendleton all of Decatur, Alabama. Lorenza (Caroline) Pendleton of Auburn, Alabama. 6 Siblings: Billy (Addie) Sandifer of Statesboro, Ga. Larry Sandifer of Decatur, Alabama. Jerry (Taiwanna) Grizzard, Ezralene Sandifer and Agnes Harper all of Huntsville, Alabama. Roy Lee (Mary) Hawkins of Belle Mina, Alabama. 1- Son-In-Law: Jerry Smith of Decatur, Alabama. 1- Daughter-In-Law: Denise Pendleton of Greenbrier, Alabama. 2- Brothers-In-Law: Thornton Pryor, Sr. and James (Annie) Pendleton both of Huntsville, Alabama. 2- Sisters-In-Law: Selina Tibbs and Sally Pendleton both of Athens Alabama. 1- Aunt: Birda Mishaw of Nashville, Tn. 1-uncle: Homer (Josephine) Williams of Belle Mina, Alabama. 12 Grandchildren. 12 Great-Grandchildren. 4 Great-Great-Grandchildren, whom she loved dearly. A host of very special nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles other relatives and friends.

Under the directing of Sharpley Funeral Home. Funeral will be held Saturday, August 11, 2018 at 12:00pm at Fletcher's Chapel Primitive Baptist Church(located at 30592 Hardiman Rd. Madison, Alabama 35756). Rev. Kenneth Lankford Jr., Pastor-Officiating. Burial in Ragland Cemetery. The body will be in church 1 hr before the services.
