George Williams, Jr. Obituary

George William, Jr., was born August 13, 1954 in Decatur, Alabama to the late George Williams, Sr., and the late Jearlin Garth-Williams.

He confessed faith at an early age. He was a member of Macedonia Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Decatur, Alabama until he relocated to New Market, Alabama with his job.

 "June-Bug" as he was so lovingly known, attended the Decatur City Schools System. He attended Lakeside High School and Austin High School where he graduated.

He joined the United States Army right after high school serving many years in the states and in Heidelberg, Germany for 8 years.

He is preceded in death by his parents and 1 Brother: Willie Lee Williams.

He departed tis life Saturday, March 10, 2018 at his residence.

He leaves to cherish his memories: A Devoted and Loving Wife of 15 years: Donna Hill-Williams. 2 Sons: Jordan Jay'Ceon Williams of Toney, Alabama. Terrence Sykes of Decatur, Alabama. 3 Sisters: Eva Mae Robnson of Town Creek, Alabama. Hazel Williams of Pittsburgh, Pa. Wand Douglas of Huntsville, Alabama. 2 Brothers: Robert (Sue) Williams of Decatur, Alabama. Earl D. Williams of Cleveland, Ohio. 1 Aunt: Delsie Williams of Decatur, Alabama. 6 Sisters-In-Law: Nellie White and Shirley Hill (Julius) Stovall both of Decatur, Alabama. Lavon Minor of Madison, Alabama. Pastor Dora Hill-Truelove of Columbia, Tn. Geraldine Tonya Dancy of Athens, Alabama. Sandra Goodwin. 3 Brothers-In-Law: Thomas (Katina) Sykes, Leon Goodwin, Michael Goodwin. 1Loving and Devoted Niece: Sara Robinson-Jones. 2 Godchildren-Nieces whom he raised as his own: Ja'Maricle and Ja'Magine Smith. 1 Life-long friend: Kevin Woods. A host of other relatives and friends.

Under the directing of Sharpley Funeral Home. Funeral will be held  Saturday, March 17, 2018 at 12:00pm at Macedonia Cumberland Presbyterian Church (located at 1820 Old Moulton Rd. NW. Decatur, Alabama 35601). Rev. Dora Hill-Truelove, Officiating. The body will be in church 1 hr., before the services. Burial in Decatur City Cemetery. Mr. Williams passed away Saturday, March 10, 2018 at his residence in Toney, Alabama.
