Terry Dean White

Terry White was born to the late Mark and Ornetha White, Sr., on June 22, 1956 in Colbert County, Alabama. He departed this life and took eternal rest on March 4, 2019 at Decatur General Hospital.

Terry confessed his faith in Christ at an early age at Waymon Chapel AME Church under the leadership of Rev. Spearman. He later was united with St. James CPCA under the leadership of Rev. Michael Jonoes.

Terry graduated from Decatur High School in 1975. He worked for the City of Decatur in the Sanitation Department for 27 years. After retiring he later work for Wayne Farms for 5 years.

Terry is preceded in death by his parents. 5 Brothers: Larry White, Charles White, Steve White, Lawrence White and Mark white, Jr. 2 Sisters: Edith White and Ida Mae Wilson.

He leaves to cherish his memories: A Loving and Devoted Wife of 39 years: Rev. Connie Points-White. 4 Daughters: Washanta White, Terri (Rickey) White, Tabitha Cowan, Taneisha Taylor all of Decatur, Alabama. 2 Brothers: Eddie (Christine) White of Muscle Shoals, Alabama. Paul (Luebertha) White of Decatur, Alabama. 4 Sisters: Laura Ann (William) Belue, Juanita Belue, Dorothy Kellam of Tuscumbia, Alabama. Geneva Alexander of Sheffield, Alabama. 4 Grandchildren: Lashanna Taylor, Statriana White, Jaterrian Anderson, Traneisha Taylor. 5 Great-Grandchildren: Tamarcus Taylor, Tay'Riah Taylor, Danarrius Lampkin, Har'Rekus Taylor, Sa'Riyah Taylor. 2 God-Children: Rachel Johnson and children and Sherri Gholston and children. 4 Brother-In-Laws: Oliver Wilson, Eddie Nelson, Jr., Bobby (Janese) Elliott and Albert Elliott all of Decatur, Alabama. 3 Sister-In-Laws: Bessie Mae White, Dorothy Franklin, Janice Elliott. 1 Uncle: Lester Deloney of Hillsboro, Alabama. 1 Aunt: Mariah White of Akron, Ohio. A Special Niece: Mary Alice Harris. A Special Nephew: Jeffrey McDonald. A host of nieces, nephews other relatives and close friends.

 Under the directing of Sharpley Funeral Home. Funeral will be held Saturday, March 9, 2019 at 11:00am at St. James Cumberland Presbyterian Church (Located at 920 Moulton St. W. Decatur, Alabama 35601). Rev. Michael Jones, Pastor-Officiating. Burial in Decatur City Cemetery. The body will be in church 1 hr., before the services.
