Anna Lue Cordle was born in Decatur, Alabama to the late Harry and Fannie Robinson-Cordle on March 26, 1930.
She confessed Faith in Christ at the age of 13 and joined Union Grove Primitive Baptist Church, where she helped start Bible Class there.
She attended Negro High School.
She is preceded in death by A Son: Lebron C. Bass. Her Parents. A Sister: Hattie P. Gideon.
She departed this life Sunday, May 17, 2020 at her residence.
Anna's memory will be cherished by her children: Alfred L.(Sarah) Cordle, Jacqueline A. Shaw, Barbara B. Cordle, Cynthia Y. Bass, BoDean Cordle, John (Carmen) Bass, Adolphus Cordle. 15 Grandchildren. 15 Great-Grandchildren. 7 Great-Great-Grandchildren. 1 Niece: Dordtha (Herman) Sanders. 1 Nephew: John Gideon. A host of other relatives and friends.
Graveside Service for Mrs. Anna Lue Cordle, 90 of Decatur, Al who passed away on Sunday, May 17, 2020 at her residence will be held Tuesday, May 26, 2020 at 12:00pm at Sterrs Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday, May 25, 2020 from 6:00pm-7:00pm at The Henrietta Garth-Sharpley Memorial Chapel (Located at 410 Railroad St. NW. Decatur, Alabama). Due to the CDC Guidelines and the spread of COVID-19 family hour will be 6ft apart only 30 in the Chapel in attendance. Pubic viewing will be held Sunday, May 24, 2020 from 2:00pm-5:00pm. Monday, May 25, 2020 12pm until family hour. Due to CDC Guidelines and the spread of COVID-19 only 5 visitors allowed in building during public viewing.
