Christopher Draper Obituary

Christopher Shante' Draper was born January 9, 1978 to the late Murlene and Homer Draper in Moulton , AL. He entered into eternal rest on January 16, 2021 at Crestwood Hospital.

Christopher or Tank as everyone called him was a lover. He loved nature. He loved people. He loved life. He also loved Alabama football.

Tank loved the outdoors. As a child he would sneak into the woods with his brother, cousins or anyone else he could coax to go with him. He's take his Big Momma's fishing poles and go to the creek until someone noticed he was missing. Many summer days he could be found tying strings onto the legs of June bugs, or catching bumble bees and lightening bugs in glass jars. He was brave enough to pick up snakes with his barehand. As an adult he could still be found at the creek or on the river, or in the woods hunting and fishing, enjoying nature for hours on end.

Tank was labeled a gentle giant. His stature a stunning 6'5" would demand anyone's attention, but his crooked smile with the dimples would melt your heart. He loved his family, especially his grandson, whom he called King Kai. He was a friend to everyone he met. Always willing to help anyone. He seemed to look for the person who needed help. Always ready to offer a smile or kind world. He was a fighter for the underdog and hated to see others be mistreated or abused. If he ever told you to call him if you had a problem and you called, he'd be right there to help you. He was the type of person who demanded respect and respected others in return.

Tank loved life. As a young adult, he loved the fast life: fast cars, fast money, fast women. Wherever he was, is where everyone else wanted to be. Sammy T's was one of his favorite places, until he was reunited with Sandy Green. He settled down and became a family man, asking her to be his wife. They became Team Draper and planned to conquer the world. He loved spending time with his children and was always overly excited every time he saw his grandson.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Murlene and Homer Draper, his sister Bertha Draper, his grandparents: Amos and Madeline Taylor & Buen and Sebell Draper, his aunts: Mary Loyd, Betty Cunningham, Linda Mitchell, Pearline Taylor, and Minnie Johnson, his uncles: Ruel Taylor, Carl Taylor and William Taylor.

He will forever be remembered in the hearts of his wife: Sandy Draper, his children: Brooklyn Hart, Jaylen Draper, MaKayla Draper, Jacey Draper, Logan Green and Taylor Green; his siblings: Jeffery Taylor, Monica (Frank) Harper, Stephen (Amanda) Draper, and Marcus Gissedanner; his aunts and uncles: Henry (Dilsie) Taylor, Orell (Bishop Willie) Dillard, Marvalene Faulk, Ada Hunter, James (Shirley) Draper, Alphonso Draper, Richard Draper, Calvin ( Cathy) Draper and Levolia Stover; nieces and nephews: Amos (Natalie) Draper, Ashley Harris, Zaxxhari Draper, CJ Harris, Sentoyah Harper, Frank Harper Jr. Mastasia Draper, Stephen Draper III, and Ava Draper. great nieces and dgreat nephews: Reylen Harper, Jaemison Draper, Lennox Draper, Aerilyn Harper, Emerie Harper, and Hampton Draper and many other relatives and friends.
