Doris (Sharpley) Orr

Doris Sharpley-Orr was born in Danville, Alabama to the late LaFrancis and Sallie Mae Emerson-Sharpley on February 5, 1952.

When she moved from Michigan back to Alabama, she attended St. John Missionary Baptist Church in Somerville, Al in her younger years. She later moved to Hartselle and attended Hartselle first Missionary  Baptist Church until he health began to fail her.

She is preceded in death by her parents. A Daughter: Heidi Yevette Sharpley-Anderson. 5 Brothers: Francis Edward Sharpley. James Norman Sharpley. Frank Emerson-Sharpley. Earl Jimmy Sharpley. John Wright-Sharpley.

She departed this life on Thursday, February 13, 2020 at her home in Hartselle, Alabama.

She leaves to cherish her memories: A Son: Andre Carlisle Sharpley. 3 Grandchildren: Dalen K. Rainey. Dakoyia M. Rainey. Adalynn N. Robertson  all of Hartselle, Alabama. A Sister: Calden(Toney) Hall of Newport News, VA. 3 Brothers: Billy F. (Andrea) Sharpley of Detroit, MI. Paul Sharpley of Somerville, ,Alabama.  Larry (Jolene) Sharpley of Decatur, Alabama. She also leaves An Aunt: Roxie Mae Gurley of Somerville, Alabama. , who shard in her rearing when they lived in Michigan in her younger years. A host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

Funeral  for Mrs. Doris Orr, 68, of Hartselle, Alabama who passed away Thursday, February 13, 2020 at her residence will be held Saturday, February 22, 2020 at 12:00pm at St. John Missionary Baptist Church (Located at 40 Terry Ln Circle Somerville, Alabama 35670). Rev. Rodney Randall, Pastor. Rev. Calvin Jones, Officiating. Burial in Curry Chapel Cemetery in Valhermoso Springs. The body will be in church 1 hr., before the services.
