James Edward Johnson

Mr. James Edward Johnson was born August 7, 1978 in Decatur, Alabama to the late Cleveland Edward Mason, Sr. and Francis Rebecca Jones. He departed this life on December 22, 2020.

James was baptized in Jesus’ name at 6 years old.

He is preceded in death by his brother Dennis Edward Mason. His paternal grandparents: Jimmy and Dora Mason. His maternal grandfather: Rev. Tommie Mitchell.

He leaves to cherish his memories a Loving Mother: Francis Rebecca Jones. A Devoted Stepfather: Billy B. Jones. 2 Sisters: Elizabeth Mason Robinson of Town Creek, Alabama and Cassandra White of Decatur, Alabama. 2 Brothers: Billy Jones (Megan) and Cleveland Mason, Jr. both of Decatur, Alabama. An Adoring maternal grandmother: Nellie Fitzpatrick. He also leaves behind a niece, several nephews, other relatives and friends.

A Memorial Service for Mr. James Edward Johnson, 42 of Decatur, Alabama who passed away Tuesday, December 22, 2020 in Decatur will be held Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at 12pm at the Henrietta Garth-Sharpley Memorial Chapel ( located at 410 Railroad St. NW. Decatur, Alabama 35601) Face Mask or some sort of face covering and Social Distancing all will be enforced. If you do not comply, you will be asked to leave!! No Exception!!
