Lorenzo Chester McDay was born May 21, 1935 in Morgan County, Alabama to the late Willie McDay and Alma Josephine Burt.

He accepted Christ and as baptized at an young age.

He is preceded in death by His Parents. 1 Daughter: Phyllis Kellogg. 2 Sisters: Doris Bolden and Myrtle Nelson-McDay.

He departed this life Friday, October 19, 2018 at Decatur Morgan Hospital / Parkway Campus.

Lorenzo leaves to cherish his fond and sweet memories: A Loving and Devoted Person: Gernice McDay. 2 Daughters: Jacqueline McDay- His Loving and Devoted Caregiver and Lenora Jones. 4 Sons: Chester McDay, Roebie (Sandra) Smith, Sidney (Shelly) Smith all of Decatur, Alabama. David (Blanche) Hill of Birmingham, Alabama. 3 Step-Children: Lavine (Carl) Bell. Florence (Jerry) Anderson. Ella Ruth Bankhead. 2 Sisters: Rebell Elliott of Trinity, Alabama. Magdalene Moore of Decatur, Alabama. 16 Grandchildren. 11 Great-Grandchildren. A host of nieces, nephews other relatives and close friends.
