Margaret Ann Smith, was born to the late Thomas Jeff and the late Josephine Smith in Morgan County, Alabama on April 4, 1954. She went to her Heavenly Home on July 5, 2022.
Margaret received her education in Decatur City Schools System and was a graduate of Decatur High School, Class of 1973. She received her florist certificate in Birmingham, Alabama.
Margaret was very talented. She was a good cook, master gardener, magnificent decorator, and avid card player (Spades). She loved thrift store shopping and spending time with her loved ones.
She is preceded in death by her son: Shawn Wydell Smith, her parents, her siblings: Josie Ella Smith-Reedus, Thomas Jeff Smith Jr., and Robert Oneal Smith, her grandmother: Artelia Ross-Bolden, two uncles: George Bolden and James Bolden.
She leaves to cherish her memories: Two loving sons: Theodore Smith and Ryan Smith, a devoted daughter: Margo (Marvin) King, Five sisters: Linda (Edward) Davis of Olive Branch, MS., Carrie Garth, Garry Ann Smith, Sharon Smith, Margaret Stewart all of Decatur, Al., one brother: Larry Smith of Clio, Al, one aunt: Artelia Bolden of Hillsboro, Al. a host of grandchildren: Brianna, Cearri, Sedrick, Cassidy, Megan, Cameron, Ryan Jr., Shawn, Zhyeus, and Elijah, great-grand children, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Graveside service for Ms. Margaret Ann Smith, 68, of Decatur, Alabama, who passed away on Tuesday, July 5, 2022 at Decatur Morgan Hospital will be held on Saturday, July 9, 2022 at 11:00AM at Bell Cemetery located at 915 Finley Island Road, Decatur AL 35601. Public viewing will be held on Friday, July 8, 2022 from 12:00 noon- 6:00 PM and Saturday, July 9, 2022 from 9:00AM-10:00AM.
