Mary Beatrice (Watkins) Orr

Mary was born in Trinity, Alabama o August 20, 1950 to the late John Watkins Sr. and Dora Lue Watkins. She quietly departed this life on Friday, November 5, 2020 surrounded by her family at UAB Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama.

She attended Morgan County Training School and retired from Wayne Farms, Inc.

Ms. Bee, as she was affectionately called was baptized at an early age and was a member of Love Chapel C.M.C. Church. She was a Loving Mother, Grandmother, Sister and Aunt who loved cooking her famous meals for the family. She loved her family and also loved family dinners and gatherings.

She is preceded in death by her loving parents, 2 beloved brothers: Robert and Ray Watkins.

Ms. Bee leaves to cherish her memory 2 Dedicated Children: Jackie (Randy) Downing and Calvin Orr and his special friend: Sheree Collier. Grandchildren: La'Darius and Keithian Shackelford, Kenyon Orr and Jasmine Downing. 5 Loving siblings: Johnnie Knight, Annie (David) Johnson, Mamie Marshall, Linda (Gary) Haley, Ann Horton and John Watkins, Jr., Sister-in-law, Laura Watkins. Bee will also be forever remembered by her numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family and friends.

Graveside Service for Mrs. Mary Beatrice Watkins-Orr, 70 of Decatur, Alabama who passed away Friday, November 6, 2020 at UAB Hospital will be held Saturday, November 14, 2020 at 12:00pm at Sterrs Cemetery. Public viewing will be held Friday, November 13, 2020 from 10:00am-7:00pm at the funeral home.
