Minnie Dale Taylor-Johnson was born in Lawrence County, Alabama to the late Amos and Madeline Jones-Taylor on April 2, 1943.
Minnie accepted Christ at an early age and joined Oakville M.B. Church in Oakville, AL. She later transferred her membership to Love Chapel CME Church Trinity, AL, where she served in many capacities including being a member of the Usher Board and sewing as a Stewardess.
She was a dedicated employee of Wayne Farms Inc for over 30 years. She loved canning and freezing vegetables to share with family and friends. She loved reading her bible and working crossword puzzles. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
She departed this life Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at Decatur Morgan Hospital.
She is preceded in death by Her parents, Her husband: Rev. Maxie Johnson. Her siblings: Ruel Taylor, Carl Taylor, William Taylor, Mary Lloyd, Betty Cunningham, Linda Mitchell, Murlene Draper and Pearline Taylor.
Minnie will forever be remembered by her daughter: Rosie Burgess. Her grandchildren: Brodgerick (Inazea and B.J.) Taylor, Anitra Burgess (Messiah). Her Stepchildren: Kenneth (Phillis) Johnson, Willie Johnson, Charles (Brandi) Johnson, Margaret (Greg) Thomas, Sherry Fuqua. 11 Step-Grandchildren, 10 Step Great-Great Grandchildren. Her brother: Henry (Dilsee) Taylor. Her Sister: Esther McAfee. Her brothers-in-law’s: Bishop Robert (Mary) Johnson, Bossie(Clara) Johnson, Dan Johnson, Melvin Dancy. Her sister-in-law’s: Lucy Johnson, Lena Johnson, Mitsuko Taylor. 2 Aunts: Dorothy Jones and Louise Jones of Aurora, CO. A host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends.
