Mother Clara Jane (Wallace) Orr

“We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.”

Clara Jane Orr was born January 27, 1948 in Hartselle, Alabama to the late Ida M. Wallace.

Clara attended and graduated from Morgan County Training School, where she played saxophone in the band. She worked and retired from Copeland Corporation in Hartselle, Alabama.

She was united in Holy Matrimony for 42 years to Jerry Orr until his passing in 2007. They shared 4 children that lived in a home full of love and respect.

She gave her life to Christ and was a proud Mother at Hartselle Missionary Baptist Church where she loved the children of the church.

She is preceded in death by her Husband: Jerry Orr, her Mother and Matriarch of the family, Ms. Ida M. Wallace. A Mother-In-Law: Vera Orr. A Father-In-Law: Jimmie Lee Orr. A Sister: Sara Gholston. A Brother: Jimmy Wallace.

Our Lord called her home on Sunday morning, November 15, 2020.

Clara leaves behind to mourn and to hold on to her memories: 4 Blessed and Proud sons that called her momma: Tyrone (Brigitte), Maury (Tasha), Dexter and Spencer. 3 Sisters: Frances Orr, Martha Emerson and Brenda Wallace. Her In-Laws: Leroy & Faye Russell, Diane Orr and Hazel Orr. 4 Grandchildren: Ashley, Maya, Mauriana and Easton. A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends all of whom she loved, and they loved her too.

There are times when we don’t understand all God has in His Master Plan, but as we stand on His promise of never leaving us nor forsaking us, we find that He makes provisions in times like these through the people who touch our lives.

Graveside Service for Mother Clara Jane Orr, 72 of Hartselle, Alabama who passed away Sunday, November 15, 2020 at her residence will be held Saturday, November 21, 2020 at 2:00pm at Burningtree Cemetery. Public viewing Friday, November 20, 2020 from 10:00am-6:00pm at the funeral home.
