Samuel "Sam" Morrow, A Man of Strength and Courage. A Model of Fortitude and Inspiration to his family and friends. He was born January 24, 1947 to the late Theodore and Inez Bain-Morrow in Hartselle, Alabama.
Sam was preceded in death by his parents. A Special Granddaughter: Dream Morrow. A Sister: Mary Grace Morrow-Watts.
A Man of Strength has faith that is in journey that you become strong. Sam's journey of Faith began when he accepted Jesus as his personal savior at an early age and was baptized into the fellowship of the Hartselle First Missionary Baptist Church, where he remained until his health began to fail him, yet it was a commitment to stay connected through whatever ways he could.
He was a graduate of Morgan County Training School and attended Alabama A&M University in Normal, Alabama. He received his HVAC Certification in East Orange, New Jersey. Then returned home and worked for many years and retired from GE.
Sam departed this life on December 7, 2019 at Decatur Health and Rehab Center.
Those who are left to remember and share his legacy of Love are: 3 Daughters: Ulonda Barker, Tanya Bolden of Decatur, Alabama. Angela Morrow of Nashville, Tenn. 1 Son: Sidney Morrow of Hartselle Alabama. 5 Grandchildren: Atlantis Jarmon, Rexalonda Jarmon, Jasmine Bolden and Heaven Morrow. A Special Grandson: Angelo Morrow, who kept his granddad on his toes. A host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
Under the directing of Sharpley Funeral Home. Funeral will be held Saturday, December 14, 2019 at 1:00pm at Hartselle Heritage Funeral Home Chapel (Located at 1401 Main St. SE. Hartselle, Alabama 35640). The body will be in Hartselle at 12:00pm on Saturday. Burial in Hartselle Cemetery.
