Timothy Francis ("Tim") Guster

Timothy Francis Guster was born July 1, 1954 in Decatur, Alabama to the late James & Versie Guster.

He professed his hope in Christ at a young age at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in Decatur, Alabama.

He was educated in the Decatur City Public Schools System during his childhood.

From 1971 to 1974, he served his country in the Military branch as a Marine soldier.

Timothy worked and volunteered tirelessly in the community of Decatur, Alabama in many capacities. He served in many leadership roles within the Sports & Recreation Association and Youth & Children Services. You could find him being busy helping the Sports Teams and Day Care Centers in his community, simply just an overall epitome of service to all.  Just like his brothers, he himself was known for cooking delicious food on the Grill. He was also a member of the George Braxdoll Masonic Lodge.

Most of all the joys of his of life was being a loving Father, Grandfather, Sibling, Uncle and friend to those he loved and cherished during his earthy life. He simply enjoyed spending time with his family and friends through sharing a down home meal with laughter, good music, and fellowship.

Timothy was a faithful member of the Minor Hill Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Leo Fuqua Jr. in Decatur, Alabama. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter-Chiquita Cunningham, his siblings: Berthena Garth, Bennie W. Bass Jr., Don P. Guster, and Dwight D. Guster and his great granddaughter, Israel Davis.

 Under the directing of Sharpley Funeral Home. A Graveside Service for Mr. Timothy Francis Guster, 67 of Decatur, Alabama who passed away Sunday, October 10, 2021 at his residence will be held Sunday, October 17, 2021 at 1:00pm at Decatur City Cemetery.
